For SSEK, a well-known legal consultant in Indonesia, traditional wisdom plays a significant role in their professional business practice. That is why Kancata crafted the story of ‘local culinary wisdom’ for their 2015 calendar.

The story was contextualized with each corresponding month. Betawi’s bir pletok was placed as a welcome drink in January. Spirit of 17 Agustus was represented by the ‘lomba makan kerupuk’. While we celebrated the end of year with tumpengan.

Kancata also used the ‘batik kompeni’ motif that showed how incoming Western culture merged with the local wisdom.
