As the most celebrated area in Yogyakarta, the street of Malioboro is always bustling day and night with local artist scenery, gift and souvenir shops and endless culinary hawkers.

The challenge was to choose Kancata’s illustration focus, since there were many possibilities that we could take from the vibrant scenery. Finally, after countless discussions we settled to illustrate the dynamic spirit of arts and creativity that Malioboro has to offer.
